ADVISORY COUNCILS AND COMMITTEES
Advisory Councils and Committees act to serve and provide insight in the pastoral planning of the parish. They consider pastoral works and propose practical conclusions about them. Advisory Councils perform their functions in an advisory or consultatory way to assist the pastor.
 

FINANCE COUNCIL The Diocese of St. Petersburg requires each parish to have an active Finance Council. St. John’s Finance Council is a group of seven professional men and women from the parish whose directives are to review all major financial matters within the parish, and to review and approve the church and school budgets. It is the duty of the Finance Council to guide the Pastor and Parish Operations Manager to make the best informed financial decisions for the parish. The committee aims to provide parishioners with financial updates on a regular basis.

 

ST. JOHN’S SCHOOL ADVISORY COUNCIL (SAC) The School Advisory Council assists and advises the pastor and the principal in their efforts to establish a strong educational program based on Christian values and a sound fiscal policy for the efficient operation of the school.
